Fixed Access to UMTS Service Capabilities

چکیده
This paper investigates the provision of UMTS service capabilities through fixed access. A core network based on enhanced B-ISDN is considered which supports multimedia services (videotelephony, data access and near real-time monitoring) with personal and terminal mobility. The focus is on fixed access to such services through enhanced broadband (ATM) terminals. The technical perspective includes support of multimedia mobility, protocol stacks and API’s.
